I spent Sunday afternoon and evening hanging out with my three-year-old nephew while my sister and brother-in-law went to a social event. My eight-year-old niece was around for a while, but once I helped her put on her witch makeup, she was off to a Halloween event with a friend.

I miss babies, and I wish a neighbor or relative would have one so I could baby-sit free sometimes. Shouldn’t be too long before I have some great-grands, though. I have three grandchildren in their 20’s. I won’t rush them.
Two- and three-year-olds are my favorite. For years I worked in the Church nursery during Sunday School every week. I got some great entertainment from those kids; they’re natural comedians. -
I’m still looking for a good low sugar / sugar free hot chocolate – I love the stuff but diabetics aren’t supposed to have sugar loaded treats like that.

What a sweet post. I love toddlers too, when they start to really be little people with opinions instead of just lumps of baby-ness. How nice that you are able to have the best of both worlds, childfree-by-choice with a dose of kidness every now and then!

Hi
I’m unable to have kids & am cool with that, however my niece & nephew make me sometimes wish I had had them. That is until they get whiny! -
Great post!
I really enjoy kids more, too, once they hit that age where they can walk and talk. Yeah, babies are fun, but toddlers/preschoolers are even more so! -
I LOVED spending time with my sister’s kids. IT was so nice to then be able to wave goodbye, and drive HOME!!!
