I'm taking a four-day weekend and spending three days at my sister's house helping her redecorate my niece and nephew's bedrooms while they're visiting their grandparents out of town. Thus, it was time to get out my trusty painting shirt.
This shirt is an ever-evolving record of every room I've painted in the past decade or so, including my:
- Kitchen (verdigris)
- Living room (brownish purple with white trim)
- Half bath (moss brown with brick trim)
- Dressing room (silver sage with white trim)
- Full bath (turquoise)
- Hallway (chocolate milk)
It also has paint splotches from previous jobs for my sister:
- Her yoga studio (chartreuse)
- My niece's bedroom (yellow)
As a special bonus, the area around the collar bears witness to the period when I was dyeing my own hair blue and also dark brown.
I'll be adding a lovely variety of paint colors over the weekend: blue, brown, red, grey and black.
Now I just need to figure out which jeans I'll be turning into my new painting jeans…
