Average Jane Burns Out

Oh, how I wish I could go on vacation right now.  Unfortunately, I don’t have any plans to do so until June at the earliest, then I have another long weekend booked in July.  None of that helps in the short run.

At least it’s Friday.  Tonight my husband and I are planning to see The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, even though the reviews have been rather mixed.  Tomorrow we’re taking a road trip to stroll through two big flea markets all day long.  On Sunday, I’ve promised my dad I’ll spend the afternoon at his house working on some publishing projects.

I’m too fried to think of anything interesting to say.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.  I’ll report on my weekend treasure hunting Monday.

    HHGG was a strange ‘trilogy’, but it was easily readable. I’m sure that it will follow the book and it will be strange as well. That is why the reviews are mixed. No one knows what to think of it. You either like it or don’t.

    I saw a sneak preview of HHGG on Wednesday. I thought about posting a review on my blog, but I didn’t want to do the spoiler thing. Have you ever seen the old British TV version? It was fantastic. It’s available on DVD; you should check it out if you haven’t ever seen it.
    Will be interested to read what you thought of the new version. Enjoy!

    I’ve read the books, listened to recordings of the radio show, seen the TV show and I have the DVDs, so I’m well prepped for the movie. I’ve just heard it’s significantly different than everything that preceded it, but considering that all of the other versions vary, maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
