Average Jane Rests Up

I’m in a much better mood today, thanks for asking.  I ended up falling asleep on the couch yesterday morning after I wrote my crabby blog post.  When I woke up, I decided to take the morning off from work, get my tax paperwork turned in, deposit a check, and buy several weeks’ worth of Luna bars from Wild Oats, which doesn’t open until 9 a.m.

I also bought a tin of natural, organic, blah, blah, blah cat food for my 16-year-old male cat.  He has kidney disease and it’s hard to keep him from being too skinny.  We’ve already determined that he hates the prescription canned food from the vet and he also hates the cat junk food from the grocery store.  I bought him a different kind of health food store brand last weekend and the liked that, too, so we’re onto something.  Unfortunately, the fancy cat food costs $1.00 a can, but it’s worth it if it’ll make him gain some weight.

It was kind of nice to get a bunch of workday errands out of the way all at once.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we won’t owe any taxes this year.  It seems likely that this will be a rare (for us) refund year, but you just never know.

Do any of you watch "Lost"?  Man, I love that show.  Last night’s episode was freaky in the extreme.  I can’t wait to see what happens next week.

Well, off to shower and face a meeting-packed day at work, followed by a vocal lesson and a dinnertime trip to a new pizza place that a friend recommended.  There’s not much room for improvisation in a schedule like mine, as you can see.  Enjoy your day!

Yeah for errands accomplished! It’s amazing how things checked off your list can improve your mood. Hope you had another productive day.
